The Great Haircut of 2007

Back to School...

Well, it's that time of year again. Personally, I didn't have a summer so I'm not quite sure how we ended up back in school - but here we are.



Despite the somewhat anxious set of his shoulders - an accident of the camera? - Gabriel was quite happy to return to Selwyn this week. He did seem a bit perplexed when our path did not lead to Miss Pam's familiar face and classroom. However, Miss Kendra has a fish tank and she immediately spotted Gabriel immediately spotting the fish and crouched down to introduce him to Tiger. I could have vanished in a puff of smoke at that point, and he would not have noticed. "Hi, Tiger. I Gabriel."

Yesterday was day four of the new year and as Gabriel and I ended our day snuggled on the couch together he turned to me and said "Mommy, I had a good day. I had fun."

Yay for good days! Yay for fun! Yay for classrooms with brightly colored curtains, fishtanks, cubbies, playdoh and nap mats. Oh to be three again!
